I had an exciting career as a Monster Energy Super Model! Grateful to travel coast to coast across Canada at the nation’s biggest ski, snow, wake and motocross events!
Fun times at Opera House Toronto as Monster Energy presented Snowboard Canada’s annual party. Snowboard Canada premiered two movies as the Ski and Snowboard Show took place over the weekend at international center. Monster Energy threw the biggest bash in town while Snowboard Canada screened the World Premiere of ‘Relax’, and the Toronto Premiere of Videograss’ ‘Enlighten’. Tones of prize giveaways, pro rider appearances, and music spun by DJ Illo and DJ D.R. One made this a killer party with old friends. From SnowboardCanada.com: “SBC’s first-ever foray into the video world, RELAX. premiered at the Snowboard Canada Party, presented by Monster Energy Friday in front of a packed crowd of 800 shreds at the Opera House in Toronto. Most in the crowd enjoyed either free Monster or some of the free Pabst Blue Ribbons from the second annual Pabst hour, while others were lucky to walk away with some of the thousands of dollars in gear from some of the biggest snowboard companies in the world—all to the beats provided by DJ Illo and DJ D.R. One. ” To sum up this party in one word: raging.
Enjoy the photos!

May long weekend saw Monster Energy hosting the hottest waterpark party in the West Coast. I danced the entire night. Las Vegas’s best beach party: Soundwave featuring Chuckie, GTA + Dzeko & Torres hit West Ed Mall for thousands of excited party goers.
Connected Events says that in the past 3 years “Soundwave has made a name for itself as one of the most unique events in North America. Soundwave, Connected Entertainment transforms the world’s Largest Indoor Waterpark into a Vegas style beach party modeled after the legendary Encore Day Club in the Wynn & Marquee Dayclub in the Cosmopoliton.”
Edmonton is beautiful! Soundwave threw an unforgettable party with an incredible crowd. All photos by Desmond Chong of CYK Media. Follow @cykdchong

We had so much fun this weekend attending Empire Backyard Party in Montreal, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Vans. The Empire Backyard Party is the biggest Pro/Am Mini Ramp comp in Canada. More about Empire: “EMPIRE has become Canada’s leading retailer specializing in skateboard / snowboard related products, clothing, footwear and accessories,”. After the competition we headed over to Ballroom at 3643 Saint-Laurent for the Official Empire BYP party. This weekend is jam packed with awesome.
Here are a few of my personal shots from the weekend. We attended the comp nestled in the heart of downtown Montreal where snowboarders demonstrated their skills on mini ramps and rails. Competitors traveled across the country to vie for a spot on the BYP podium, which includes a lot of respect… and cash. First place took home $10,000.00. Not bad!
Check us out!
Everything took place downtown Montreal in the heart of the city. The weather was already chilly ; there was definitely no need to worry about the snow melting. How awesome was it to get a taste of Winter early? When we first arrived to the competition things were well underway; I thought it was super gnarly to have a behind-the-scenes scope of the shred sessions. Music was pumpin’ and fans showed their appreciation by high-fiving the boards surrounding this beautiful man made Mini Ramp set-up. Check out a couple photos from the Empire Facebook Page. What an ill experience! Here is a shot of the set up [ via Empire BYP Facebook Page ].
And here is what the final set-up looked like…

September 29th 2012 saw a bevy of beautiful Monster Ladies and pro riders from around the globe entertain thousands of Motocross Fans at Montreal Olympic Stadium. I flashed my pearly whites on the podium as riders crossed the finish line.
From MontrealMotocross.com: ” After winning earlier his MX1 class for the second year in-a-row, Californian Matt Goerke was ready for an encore in the Monster Energy Grand Finale at the Monster Energy Supermotocross, presented by Parts Canada/Thor, on Saturday, September 29. On a shorter track, the match between the top MX2 and MX1 riders proved to be an interesting outing, but eventually, the more powerful 450 cc MX1 bikes swept the podium. Again, as he did in his earlier race, Goerke led all 13 laps to finish eight seconds ahead New Yorker Bobby Kiniry. Third place went to Teddy Maier of Iowa, his first podium finish of the night. Fourth place went to MX2 rider Cole Thompson, who had won the MX2 class race earlier in the night, Thompson of Bridgen, Ontario finished ahead of MX1 rider Tyler Medaglia of Ottawa and Dusty Klatt of British-Colombia. MX2 rider Kaven Benoît took seventh ahead of Jeremy Medaglia.”
From Racer X: ” While most of the world was focused on the international affair of the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations, a different international event also took place with the annual Montreal Supercross in Canada. No surprise who won the race, though, as American Matt Goerke, riding for Team Leading Edge Kawasaki, continued his roll up North, taking both the MX1 final and the Superfinal, which combined 450s and 250s together. Goerke also cleaned up in the motocross nationals up there. ”
