Mining Minute Season One was reported upon by news outlets around the globe. Many of the technologies we use today are the product of Mining. Everything, from a stainless steel faucet to the smartphone you are holding is the result of utilizing earth’s abundant resources.  In the first season, I question KWG Resources about potential environmental footprint and their patent on reducing chrome to ferrochrome using natural gas (which is in abundant supply in Canada). This chromite gas reduction releases way fewer greenhouse gases and saves a TON energy compared to current practices.  (Enough to power Italy).  Based on information from season one and two KWG Resources has established equal partnerships with First Nations and cares deeply for the environment. KWG CEO Frank Smeenk has talked about potentially utilizing innovative hyperloop technology to transport goods and even people by way of Hyperloop.
