Theresa Longo Crowned Miss Budweiser Honda Indy at the Toronto Honda Indy!
Theresa says… I had an amazing, unforgettable weekend at Toronto Honda Indy. June 16 – 18 at Toronto Exhibition Grounds.
It started weeks before, with a contest to narrow down 10 finalists who would compete at Budweiser Winner’s Circle at the Honda Indy.
On Friday morning of the big weekend, we checked into the hotel to prep for the Indy. All of our hotel rooms weren’t quite ready at the time of check in…. 10 bud girls, 1 hotel room, 2 mirrors, … not sure how we managed, but we did. All of us hit it off & soon became quite close to one another . It was perfect! We were all sharing an epic experience.
We headed to the Exhibition Center to the Indy track where we walked to the Winner’s Circle for a meet & greet with fans.
We danced, posed for photos, signed autographs, & enjoyed the sun. Our spot included grand stand seating between turns 9 & 10.
Friday the sun is shining, the smell of BBQ wafting, an epic live band plays, and we hear the Indy Car Qualifier in the background … did I mention… everywhere I look there are a ton of adorable BUD girls?
We couldn’t even walk very far without getting stopped. It was funny because if we wanted to time anything properly, or if one of us needed to beat the heat, we actually had to allocate time to stop for photos along our journey across the grounds. Once one fan stopped one of us for a photo, many others would inevitably follow suit. It was awesome meeting so many amazing fans.
The real party happened Friday night. We were treated to a private Party at C-Lounge. The Indy Driver party was our chance to meet the drivers, speak with judges, & pose for photos throughout the night. The live band followed us and entertained us for the majority of the night. We definitely started a legendary dance party at C-Lounge, air guitar included. The party continued at Lot 332, we posed with the photo wall & several lucky, bud-drinking club goers were gifted with VIP passes to the Winner’s Circle for Saturday and Sunday. Friday saw us going to bed late & rising early for the big contest.
Saturday was especially busy for the Toronto Honda Indy. The BUD ladies are out in full force. We danced, posed for photos, chatted with fans, and even got on stage with the band. We challenged fans to a crazy football toss, & got the fans to engage in wild and crazy things.
3PM Saturday, it was time for our BUD Pit Girl Crew Search – Consisting of 3 rounds:
-
Round One – Introduce ourselves
-
Round Two – We have a ‘Drivers! Start Your Engines!’ yelling competition
-
Round Three – A sexy helmet removal competition brings the LOLs
I picked up a copy of the Toronto SUN on Sunday only to see my photo inside & on the cover. My face was priceless. They caught my reaction just as I was announced the winner. Awesome. 🙂 Sunday at the Indy was another amazing day. We had perfect sunny weather the entire weekend long.
Sunday, we were lucky enough to watch the Indy kickoff from the SUN’s corporate grandstand booth. We were overlooking the Pit Stop. It was so loud. The noise from the cars taking off was ear piercing. At the moment the race started, two ground shattering F18’s flew overhead. It was unbelievably loud & unforgettable.
