We recently stopped in for a couple weeks at Holguin, Cuba’s all inclusive resort for an escape from ordinary. The animation team was a hit, leading dance class, Zumba class and all the themed parties you could ever imagine. Every single day my daughter got a kick out of the events, games and dance classes. We went as a family and it was a dry (alcohol-free) all inclusive vacation. Of course, alcohol and all meals were included but it was our choice to be alcohol free! 🙂 It was probably the most fun we have ever had.
The SAFEST, CLEANEST and only two years new Grand Memories, Holguin is well worth the trip.

The kids Crew is an amazing amenity at Grand Memories Holguin resort. Parents are welcome to leave kids under fully supervised conditions with a shallow pool, sand bar & air conditioned paint room, for face painting, art, nails, and they’ll even visit the buffet to bring fries, ice cold water and more back for the kids. Even though I stuck around in the enclosure it is safe enough to leave kids and I saw families taking a break while knowing the kids were in excellent hands. You will love to find Jalily, Adriana, Jilly, & Adry and others ready to keep kids occupied and having fun! They even have air conditioned cribs for tots!

Clever tips for a great stay: Pack light! We chose the official vacation package from SUNWING
Good idea to bring hair conditioner and about $100 USD $1 bills for tips. We didn’t need cash for anything except tips. We gave hard working staff a tip for most every kind gesture and good service. It goes a long way! I packed extra light by using a backpack only and I purposefully brought kids’ clothes with the intention of leaving it all for Cuban friends who could use the kids clothing! Bring ketchup and your favorite snacks and soft drinks (you can buy soft drinks after security). We stocked up on travel packs of soy sauce, ketchup, salt & condiments!
