Theresa Longo’s appetite for arts is apparent; she steadily writes and records original music. Theresa is a loyal guitar player since the age of 8 and also skilled on the drums and keyboard.
Theresa plays a ‘guitar solo’ cameo in feature length movie “The Cocksure Lads” A Musical Comedy by Murray Foster.
Theresa is interviewed by “Wanna be Loved” co-star and friend, Ashley.
A – When did you get into music?
Theresa – My entire life I have been recording and producing songs. My brother and I used to sit around with a double cassette player recording our own hits when we were maybe 4 or 5 years old. Our first song ever was called “Rockin’ Babies”. Around age 7 I started into piano lessons. I picked up a guitar at age 8.
A- What is your most recent song?
Theresa – I recently recorded lead vocals on a song co-written and produced by Music Mentor Productions it’s called “So Sentimental” and it really is a catchy song, perfect for radio play. Right now I am collaborating on a regular basis with producers on everything from pop to hip-hop, and writing original songs.
A- What inspired you to play the guitar and stick with it?
Theresa- Rock music! I love hearing my favourite bands and then being able to sing and play along.
A- Tell me about some memorable music experiences….
Theresa- I have worked with a few very well-known Canadian and International recording artists. I had the opportunity to record a song in the studio of a Canadian music icon. I was also once asked to join a band hailing from Atlanta Georgia, but the timing didn’t fit with my schedule. I also got to play a few riffs for Chris Stills once while staying in LA.

A- Your guitar is well-travelled. What happens when you take it on the road with you?
Theresa- Memorable music experiences which stand out in my mind include bonding with complete strangers over music. I have played for people who don’t even speak the same language but who recognize songs I play and love them. Music really brings people together. There is something amazing about sharing music with people while travelling the world!
A- You play the drums too!
Theresa- I do, I have played drums live before at The Highway of Heroes Ride in Bowmanville, Ontario once with a band doing a Led Zeppelin Cover. They knew I could play and they had me sit down for a song on the kit! I can keep a beat, but I’d choose playing guitar over any other instrument out of personal preference!
