Toronto Raptors NBA Update!

By Appearances, Event Coverage, On Television

Sadness! The Raptors suffered another loss Saturday.
Tonight saw the Toronto Raptors host the Philadelphia 76ers at Air Canada Center. In honor of Remembrance Day falling on tomorrow’s date, the Raps donned camouflage jerseys for Saturday night’s home game. Raptors have been struggling lately, currently sitting at 1-4, and you can add tonights woeful performance to this dismal rank. The game started off relatively close,  Bargnani scored 23 points while DeMar DeRozan added 19, but a horrendous second quarter led to a 93-85 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. Jose Calderon added 14 points and 11 assists as the Raptors (now 1-5) dropped their third straight. The Raptors led by 10 points midway through first quarter, but the Sixers outscored Toronto 40-11 to finish the first half with a 52-33 advantage. The Air Canada Centre crowd booed at half time. The Raptors shot a woeful 2-for-20 from the floor and scored just seven points in a horrendous second quarter — Toronto’s worst scoring output in a quarter since 2003 —  Raptors coach Dwane Casey must definitely be feeling the pressure. Hopefully the Toronto Raptors will pull off a win upcoming Monday night; where Raptors host Utah Jazz at Air Canada Center. I’ll be at the game Monday November 12 to cheer on the Raptors while modeling with a sleek Ford F150 showing off a Ford Fusion Drive Challenge. Find me at the game and say hi!

Let’s go Raptors!

Halloween Haunt at the Great Hall

By Appearances, Event Coverage

Halloween weekend saw us gearing up for a totally scary, gory night at the Great Hall. Professional artists made us into the deadliest looking zombies through the use of fake blood, prosthetics, and paint. Steadfast until the end, we remained in true zombie character throughout the entire night. I was gifted with gnarly side and facial wounds, while Mandy had her throat slit in a gruesome gash. Jag had one of the most interesting costumes with an entire prosthetic worn over her mouth. We were definitely a disgusting lot of zombified gals! Click to enlarge photos. Warning: The results are anything but pretty!
The party at the Great Hall was killer; (ha) with some of us spotting some truly creative costumes. Most notable was Honey Boo Boo Chile, Mr. Roboto (complete with glowing headlight) and ‘grade five photo day’ guy. After we were done with scaring and creeping people out to the fullest, we headed up to the VIP area where we danced the night away to the epic musical stylings of DJ. ILLO and DJ. DR-1. This was truly a memorable, fun-filled Halloween weekend packed with gore and celebrated hard at the Great Hall on Queen West.

People ask me : How can I get in touch with  you? How can I find out what is happening in your world? To this I answer… The best way to interact with me is on Twitter and Instagram @theresalongo, or on Facebook: Here.

On the actual all Hallow’s Eve, I will be making an appearance at the Air Canada Center for the Toronto Raptors Home Opener. Find me at the game and say hi 🙂

An Inside Look at WMC Fashion Week: Day One!

By Appearances, Event Coverage, Fashion, Model Stuff, Runway, Social Media

Toronto’s World Mastercard Fashion Week kicked off its 27th season yesterday and I am here to bring you a behind-the-scenes view of the action! Yesterday saw fashion houses Holt Renfew and Pink Tartan showcasing their hottest spring trends. Notably, the emphasis has been on metallics, lace, oxblood, and cream colors.  ” From an azure blue draped sleeved satin dress from Yves Saint Laurent to a colour-blocked coat from Celine, a patterned Prada suit and sleek tuxedo from Tom Ford, the looks on display offered an extensive range of apparel and accessories, with outerwear, evening-wear and everything in between. While a large portion of the designer showcase was devoted to international labels, homegrown talents had their time to shine, either featured in standalone looks or teamed with apparel and accessories from foreign brands,” Ottawa Citizen notes. For me, I am in ESSIE Nail heaven while taking full advantage of backstage sights and sounds at Fall Fashion week.

Here is a collection of shots showcasing the many highlights of day one at World MasterCard Fashion Week! Click to Enlarge Photos

It’s everything blue hue as I take a seat in the beauty lounge at WMCFW. Middle Photo shows me and Stacey Mckenzie! LOVE! Stacey McKenzie is a Canadian fashion model, runway coach and most recently a model coach and judge on the Canadian reality television show Canada’s Next Top Model.

World Wide Short Film Festival Ad …features ME!

By Appearances, Model Stuff, Photoshoots

Cheryl @ STRUTT Central rang me suggesting I audition for a role. This one called for a ‘sexy blonde’. The audition consisted of sitting in a dentist chair.Easy enough! 🙂

After getting a call back I was delighted to be working with Philip Rostron & team to create a total masterpiece which would be splashed onto the pages of The Grid TO in preparation for the World Wide Short Film Festival June 5-10. The Grid is a weekly city magazine and daily website providing “a fresh, accessible voice for Toronto,”.

How exciting!

The idea was to create a series of cheeky ads to promote the upcoming World Wide Short Film Fest. The CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival (WSFF) is the premier venue for the exhibition and promotion of short film in North America. Taking place in early June, the WSFF is dedicated to celebrating the quality and creative range of short films. With annual submissions that surpass 4000, expert programmers specially select 250 shorts from more than 80 countries for five days of public screenings.

Donning a custom tailored medical jacket with sky high heels, I had a blast on set. Philip is a totally awesome director/photographer. Hilarity ensued as we practiced different styles & looks. The finished product looks pretty awes…

Check it out!
