This spring I personally test drove the 2014 Lincoln MKZ. The 3.7L 24-valve Ti-VCT V6 engine gets 11.6 city/7.8 hwy/ 9.9 combined L/100km.
I put the Lincoln MKZ to the ultimate test: to keep up with my busy lifestyle ! 🙂 The MKZ was a fun vehicle to experience while managing a successful brand and a career as a busy actress in addition to hosting various events in Toronto’s Bay Street Financial District.
The MKZ & I also traveled miles out of the city scape; hit the beach, and caught a lake side sunset. Using My Ford Touch systems, the MKZ and I navigated far out of Toronto’s busy urban core.

Sporting a 6-Speed SelectShift Automatic™ transmission with paddle shifters, the Lincoln MKZ is truly a fun car to drive. It did not take long to get used to the ‘SelectShift’ drive. I love that the technologically advanced MKZ is on the road with a couple pushes of a button. With class-exclusive standard full LED lamps, heated rear seats, highly detailed leather interior and *my favorite* a gorgeous retractable moonroof – this vehicle is sure to impress everyone.
In terms of technology: My Ford Touch coupled with a sensational sound system put the Lincoln MKZ at the top of it’s class.
The signature Lincoln split-wing grille is accompanied by ultra sleek lines and a sporty look at the back of the car. An advanced Audio system inside the MKZ is a professional quality THX® II Certified Audio System. Custom-tuned to each Lincoln, this audio system has two 10 inch subwoofers and 14 speakers placed in areas for optimal sound performance. I picked my Mom up for a ride in the Lincoln MKZ and she was impressed with the sound system; she mused “this car can even make rap music sound good.” Nice to know Mom.

Also noted is that the rear camera performs impeccably at night. What amazed everyone was how well lit the rear camera is under poor lighting conditions.
Electric Power-Assisted Steering, ambient lighting and heated and cooled front seats are additional exciting features I enjoyed in the Lincoln MKZ. A prime example of ‘Active Noise Control’ in action is to experience complete silence as you close the door. This car is quiet! When some of your time is spent in a busy urban downtown core, ‘noise control’ is a luxury that truly works.
