Luminato 6 Kicked off with the Yves St Laurent Opening Night party. This is THE party to be at in Toronto during Luminato. I had the honor of hosting the interactive ipad activation where your ipad drawing was projected onto the wall of the party for all to see. All night long we were creating amazing designs on the wall; storytelling, inspiring. I drew doodles at request, advertising YSL L’homme libre & Opium samples on hand for party guests. I also doodled to tell partygoers about ‘party perks’ like the cosmetic station for a complimentary make-up session. The energy at Opening night was incred! Great food, great smells, great people!
+ We looked great. 🙂
Luminato delivered an awesome creative Line up. See Here. Music, plays, screenings, shows, visuals: a lot to see and do at Luminato 6. Luminato, Toronto’s Festival of Arts and Creativity, was born out of the cultural and creative energy of the city of Toronto. A bit of background: On June 1, 2007, the first Luminato event was launched with Pulse Front: Relational Architecture 12, a light installation commissioned from Mexican-Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. Festival supporters gathered along the harbourfront to witness the city skyline illuminated by the heart beats of the audience. Over four years in the making, Luminato was ready to be unveiled to Toronto and the world.
All day long I was stationed at L’Oreal Paris on festival grounds in David Pecaut Square. Pecaut Square is a large concrete-and granite-clad plaza located in front of Metro Hall in Toronto, Canada.
Luminato has become one of the preeminent arts festivals in North America, having commissioned over 50 new works of art, and featured 6,500 artists from 35+ countries. Here are some of my photos from the event. Here are some of my favorite memories. The concert photo is from when Rufus Wainwright took the stage.
L’Oreal made hundreds of ladies and gentlemen happy by offering an exclusive give-away for anyone who ‘Likes’ L’Oreal Paris Canada on Facebook. Follow their exclusive coverage of the Luminato Festival, including daily beauty tips by experts Eddie Malter and Eric Del Monaco. All day long ladies were treated to complimentary beauty sessions from L’Oreal Paris’ lead Canadian stylists & makeup artists. Ladies were also treated to a gift card to online shopping empire Well.ca, where they could pick from the Summer’s hottest trends in Lipstick & Nail polish. This is every lady’s dream!!
